A natural and cultural monument of nature the gorge of Klisoura crosses the Arakynthos mountain. Impressive vertical cliffs of 300 meters rise on its slopes. The gorge is only 15 km away from Agrinio and is crossed by the current National Road of Antirrio - Ioannina.
The environmental value of the gorge still remains particularly high. Various species of birds still nest on its rocks as well as in the neighboring forests of the gorge. The yawning flora (plants in the crevices of the rocks) is also of great interest and especially the local endemic plant Centaurea niederi.Part of the rocks in the north is suitable for climbing and some routes have already been opened by Greek climbers.
